The tutorial always speaks of adding 'links' but actually, in technical sense, the system processes meta-information. This meta-information is called a concept or an aieon if it contains specific information.

Everything you add, whether they are links, categories, and even your personal details are stored in internal databases in the same format, as lists of attributes and relationships to other aieons. This way, the system gets an 'understanding' of the body of knowledge of its owner. By adding links (or actually aieons that point to specific web sites), you are teaching the system things about yourself, which it can use to match with other user profiles.

saight is built upon the Aieon-F framework, which is an open-source initiative to develop such a meta-information framework using JAVA and Eclipse.
